Ball gown wedding dresses

The dress that high ceilings were invented for. A defined waist, volume from it — and ten metres of fabric behaving as one.

The volume is held by construction, not by fabric: the underskirt, the boning, the finished seams. A good ball gown weighs less than it looks and does not pitch forward as you walk — that is the difference between a silhouette and a costume.

Try it in a room with a high ceiling and walk. A full skirt changes your stride and takes up space: in a narrow corridor or a small venue it will argue with the room. For an intimate celebration, an A-line with a fuller skirt gives the same effect — we will show you both and explain the difference in person.
