Dresses for a grand room and a grand celebration. Handwork counted in weeks, and trains that take two people to carry.
Selection
Luxury in a wedding dress is first of all a matter of hours. A hand-beaded bodice, lace laid to the body so the seams disappear, a skirt made of tens of metres of fabric: all of it is done by hand, and that is why it costs what it costs.
A dress like this sets the format for the whole celebration. It asks for a high-ceilinged room, considered logistics and people to help you manage it — and it repays that in every photograph.
Allow time for dresses like these: made to order takes three months, and fitting a complex bodice means several visits to the atelier. It makes sense to start six months before the wedding rather than in the last few months.
