Beads, crystals, pearls — work measured in hours of hand labour, not metres of fabric. A dress like this comes alive in movement and in evening light.

An embellished dress lives on light. By day it reads as texture; in the evening, under spotlights and flash, it comes fully into its own — so it is best seen in the light your celebration will actually have.

One practical note: embroidery adds weight, and a densely beaded dress is warmer to wear. Ask how the crystals are fixed and what happens if one comes loose — a good maker sends spares with the dress, and the atelier sews them back in an evening.
