Floor-length wedding dresses

The classic length almost every bride starts from. The hem runs level with the floor — which is why it is fitted to your shoes, not the other way round.

Floor length is not a number on a tag, it is the final alteration. The dress arrives with an allowance and the atelier cuts it to your heel height: two centimetres short and the hem hangs; two long and you step on it on the stairs.

Bring the shoes you will actually walk in. If you have not bought them yet, tell us the height — but it is better to come back with them, because this is the one measurement that cannot be judged by eye.
